Central Vacuum Systems
Separators
to gain efficiencies and prevent contamination
Various types of separators are positioned throughout our Central Vacuum Systems to separate particles, collect the material for disposal and temporarily store any liquids you may be collecting. We offer a number of different types for you to choose from, depending on the type and quantity of material you will be collecting, the extent of air cleanliness required, the physical requirements of your plant and the skill level of your maintenance staff.
Standard
Centrifugal: The centrifugal action of this model removes granules
and large particles. It is usually used as a primary separator placed before a
filtration separator using a bag or cartridge. Three different types are
available - removable dirt can, hopper bottom and hopper bottom with legs. |

High-Efficiency
Centrifugal (Cyclone): An elongated cone creates a cyclonic
centrifugal action for higher separation efficiency. This model requires
continuous discharge from the separator, or the addition of a surge hopper for
material storage. It is often used for pneumatic conveying. |

Tubular
Bag: These systems may be used individually or in a series after a
centrifugal separator to trap over 99% of all remaining solids. Available in a
variety of styles and filter media including removable dirt can, hopper bottom
and hopper bottom with legs. Both manual and automatic bag cleaning options.

Jet-Clean:
This filter bag separator features a built-in timer that
periodically activates air jets to clean the filter bags for continuous
operation. Sequential cleaning allows some bags to filter while others are
being cleaned. Removable dirt can, hopper bottom and hopper bottom with legs
models available. |

Cartridge: This filter cartridge separator offers
continuous operation through periodic, sequential air jet activation that
cleans some cartridges while others continue to filter. Cartridges are
fabricated of various pleated materials. |

Top Hat:
This small centrifugal drum-top unit is typically connected to a
cleaning hose and used as a primary to segregate materials for reuse or
disposal before they can mix with the main dirt stream. Two sizes fit both 30-
and 55-gallon drums, and can be moved easily between drums. |

Portable Wet
pickup: This small mobile unit is often used to remove spills and
dry floors that have just been washed. It attaches to a cleaning hose to
isolate and collect liquids before they can contaminate the dirt stream of a
dry vacuum system. Available in aluminum units ranging from 8 to 24 gallons.

Wet Centrifugal:
This stationary central unit is used to separate liquids from the
air stream of a wet vacuum system. It is available in galvanized steel,
stainless steel, aluminum and other corrosion-resistant metals. A ball-float
shutoff prevents overflow. Capacities range from 43 to 307 gallons; automatic
emptying devices are also available. |

Immersion: This model is specially designed to
handle sensitive materials such as flammables. Materials pass through a water
filtration chamber. Contents can be emptied by gravity or pressure. Available
in galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminum construction. |
